Om Dum Durgayei Namah — Powerful Mantras with Meaning
Durga Mantra (दुर्गा मंत्र) is a powerful invocation of Goddess Durga — the supreme divine feminine energy who destroys evil and protects devotees. During Navratri, these mantras are chanted 108 times daily for maximum blessings. The beej mantra 'Om Dum Durgayei Namah' is her most powerful seed mantra.
ॐ दुं दुर्गायै नमः॥ ॐ दुं दुर्गायै नमः॥ ॐ दुं दुर्गायै नमः॥
सर्वमंगल मांगल्ये शिवे सर्वार्थ साधिके। शरण्ये त्र्यम्बके गौरि नारायणि नमोऽस्तु ते॥
या देवी सर्वभूतेषु शक्तिरूपेण संस्थिता। नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमो नमः॥

'Om Dum Durgayei Namah' is the beej (seed) mantra of Goddess Durga. 'Dum' is her beej akshar. This mantra invokes her protective power and is especially potent during Navratri.
The Navarna Mantra 'Om Aim Hreem Kleem Chamundayei Vicche' is a 9-syllable mantra of Goddess Chamunda (a form of Durga). It is considered the most powerful of all Durga mantras and is chanted from Durga Saptashati.
Durga Mantra is most powerful during Navratri. Chant 108 times daily during the 9 days, especially on Ashtami (8th day). On regular days, Friday is most auspicious.
