श्री गणेश पूजा विधि — Ganesh Puja Procedure

प्रथम पूज्य श्री गणेश:
हिन्दू धर्म में किसी भी शुभ कार्य, पूजा या अनुष्ठान से पहले भगवान गणेश (विघ्नहर्ता) की पूजा अनिवार्य है। गणेश चतुर्थी के दिन इनकी विशेष पूजा की जाती है।
पूजा सामग्री:
गणेश जी की मूर्ति या चित्र, जल का कलश, आम या पान के पत्ते, दूर्वा (हरी घास), मोदक या लड्डू, लाल पुष्प (विशेषकर गुड़हल), रोली, सिन्दूर, हल्दी, अक्षत (चावल), जनेऊ, सुपारी, मौली (कलावा), धूप और दीप।
पूजा विधि:
१. पवित्र होकर पूर्व या उत्तर दिशा की ओर मुख करके बैठें। एक चौकी पर लाल कपड़ा बिछाकर भगवान गणेश की प्रतिमा स्थापित करें।
२. "ॐ गं गणपतये नमः" मंत्र का उच्चारण करते हुए भगवान गणेश का आवाहन करें।
३. गणेश जी को पंचामृत (दूध, दही, घी, शहद, शक्कर) और फिर शुद्ध जल से स्नान कराएं।
४. भगवान को पीले या लाल वस्त्र (या क अलावा) व जनेऊ अर्पित करें।
५. माथे पर रोली और सिन्दूर का तिलक लगाएं तथा अक्षत चढ़ाएं।
६. गणेश जी को दूर्वा (घास) की २१ गाठें बहुत प्रिय हैं, इसे "ॐ विघ्ननाशाय नमः" कहते हुए चढ़ाएं।
७. लाल फूल अर्पित करें और धूप-दीप जलाएं।
८. मोदक या बेसन के लड्डू का भोग लगाएं।
९. गणेश जी की आरती (जय गणेश जय गणेश देवा) गाएं और अंत में भूल-चूक के लिए क्षमा प्रार्थना करें।
The First Worshiped Lord Ganesha:
In Hinduism, before beginning any auspicious work, ritual, or puja, worshiping Lord Ganesha (the remover of obstacles) is mandatory. Special worship is performed on Ganesh Chaturthi.
Puja Items Needed:
An idol or picture of Lord Ganesha, a holy water pot (Kalash), mango or betel leaves, Durva (sacred green grass), Modak or Ladoo, red flowers (especially Hibiscus), vermilion (Roli & Sindoor), turmeric, intact rice (Akshat), sacred thread (Janeu), betel nut, sacred red thread (Moli), incense, and a lamp.
Puja Procedure:
1. Cleanse yourself and sit facing East or North. Place a red cloth on a wooden platform (Chowki) and place Lord Ganesha's idol on it.
2. Invoke Lord Ganesha by chanting the mantra "Om Gam Ganapataye Namah".
3. Bathe the deity with Panchamrit (milk, yogurt, ghee, honey, sugar) and then with pure water.
4. Offer yellow or red clothes (or Moli thread) and the sacred Janeu thread.
5. Apply a Tilak of Roli and Sindoor on his forehead and offer Akshat (rice).
6. Lord Ganesha loves Durva grass. Offer 21 bundles of Durva while chanting "Om Vighnanashaya Namah".
7. Offer red flowers, light the incense (Dhoop), and light the oil lamp (Deep).
8. Offer Bhog (food) of Modak or Besan Ladoos.
9. Conclude by singing the Ganesh Aarti (Jai Ganesh Jai Ganesh Deva) and ask for forgiveness for any mistakes made during the worship.
